Meet Preston
Preston graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in building science. He began his career with Brasfield & Gorrie in Atlanta, working in estimating and preconstruction. When the company opened a new office in Dallas, Preston moved to Texas and went on to manage a major commercial office project and healthcare projects in the Dallas and Houston areas.
In 2015, Preston and his wife, Paige, were ready for a new adventure. They discovered St. John, fell in love with the island, and made the move that October. Preston joined the J. Benton team as a project manager on the renovation of the Westin St. John before pursuing his own general contractor’s license.
Today, Preston brings his experience on large commercial projects and his knowledge of island construction to every Great Horizons project. He and Paige have built a family and a home on St. John, and he is deeply invested in the business, his family, and the community they call home.
About Great Horizons
Great Horizons was officially licensed in August 2017. Soon after its launch, Hurricane Irma changed the needs of the islands. Great Horizons’ early work focused on cleanup, restoration, and insurance estimates, helping property owners move forward after the storm.
As the islands rebuilt, Great Horizons grew into renovation and new construction. Based on St. John, the company also works on projects on St. Thomas. Great Horizons has completed both commercial and residential projects, with residential work becoming its primary focus. Through it all, the company has remained rooted in the community Preston and Paige call home, bringing practical construction experience and a personal commitment to every project.
